I am taken by the anger of a generation of youth

The anger of a generation of women

Torn asunder by the minuscule actions

Of those who think they are better

I am not to be trifled with

I am not a trifling thing

I am angry that they see me as less than what I am

I am angry that for a second I believed it

I am crushed by the persuasiveness of their actions

Standing taller than me and believing it gives them power

I am angry that I was put into so small a body

But my voice is so loud and high

It’s like dealing with bears
